Fluorescence is a property whereby light is emitted upon excitation by another light source or other forms of energy, such as electrical or chemical excitations. Its applications are  primarily in the lighting industries. NanoBright aims to bring new fluorescent applications to the market

NanoBright has developed proprietary platform technologies to make fluorescent nano-materials that are able to convert near infra-red light to visible light. NanoBright is working with its corporate partners to manufacture customised up-conversion and down-conversion nano-materials for highly efficient light absorption solar films and to produce long after glow paints.

The company is also exploring new applications in agricultural films and inkjet inks. Because of its nano-scale structures, materials with enhanced properties are possible.
